Butterstone has been fishing extremely well over the past few weeks and some excellent catches being reported.

The fish have thrived this year and are in exceptional condition and are extremely hard fighting. The average size is around 3-4lb but several 6lb+ and a 10lb fish have been  reported.

Most action has been subsurface with buzzers, nymphs and traditional loch flies but with good hatches in the evening the fish are active on the surface.
