Butterstone stocking update and fishing report

Butterstone has seen a steady number of bookings this season and the committee approved 2 additional stockings over the Summer months which has paid dividends with good catches reported.
The quality of the fish is outstanding and, to minimize cormorant predation, most fish are in the 2.5/3lb class with a fair number significantly larger.
Evening tickets have proven to be popular bringing in around £800 additional revenue.
Anglers venturing out early are requested to avoid 09:00 – 10:00 when Landrover are setting off with their clients.


The small fish was 3lb, the other significantly bigger.
There is a very healthy stock of fish in the loch and the dreaded algal bloom has not materialised this season and fishing remains excellent early morning and evenings. Overcast days see consistent sport throughout the day.
