Dave Maxwell had a successful evening out last week with a 4lb+ Rainbow and similar sized Pike amongst the catch.

Shaun MacDonald in amongst the Pike, landing 4 and missing/ losing double that on an evening visit

Free rising trout on Butterstone on Tuesday evening – the last hour was incredible with fish rising all over the loch. Butterstone is not a “put and take” fishery with daily stockings of uneducated fish. Butterstone can be challenging, but this is not down to a lack of fish but the wide variety of food sources and the fish can become very focused on one particular food item. With the bright conditions, morning and evening are the best times to be on the water. We have introduced Evening tickets at £17 with a 1 fish (retained if desired) limit followed by C&R.

Quality 6lb rainbow for one of our evening ticket fishers

Tricky wind conditions Sunday 11th resulted in this Near Miss. A reminder that a hat and glasses are not just a fashion statement!

A 20lb+ Pike on the fly for Committee Member Pete Clark

DBAA Member Tim Fagge catching on Balhomish.

The final weed cut of the spring. Balhomish is in great order and fish were rising throughout the day despite the disturbance – some crackers amongst them.
Not sure why Dave brought a lavvy brush!
